Constructora Sofisa, S.A.  is a Dominican construction company dedicated to designing and building multi story condominiums, office buildings, commercial centers, and villas.  We are staffed by a professional team of architects, engineers, administrators, and project management experts.

 

Sofisa is the continuation of Constructora Moderna, S.A., founded in 1977 and directed by Eduardo J. Tejera C.  This company built Hotel Villas Doradas, a 213 room five star hotel located in Playa Dorada, Puerto Plata, and Hotel Los Almendros, an 80 room hotel located in Sosua.  Constructora Moderna also built 180 houses and 7 apartment buildings in Urbanización Ciudad Moderna (Modern City Urbanization) located on Luperon Avenue in Santo Domingo.  In 1980, Constructora Moderna was awarded a contract by the Ministry of Education to build 40 rural school buildings funded by the Agency for International Development of the United States (AID).  In 2001 the company became Constructora Sofisa, S.A., with a new corporative concept and a new team of architects and engineers.

Constructora Sofisa, S.A. initiated operations by promoting, designing, constructing and selling Torre Don Diego, a residential condominium building, which was followed by Torre MM a modern office complex, and Torre Da Silva 1, also a residential tower. Sofisa is one of the leading residential condominium construction companies of the country and is currently developing the Torre Da Silva 2, Da Silva 3 and Da Silva 4, all located in exclusive residential zones of Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic.   Eduardo Tejera Rodriguez has been president of Sofisa since 2006.

The management and engineering team at Sofisa consists of young professionals who are constantly applying new technologies to assure the quality and design of their projects surpasses the local and international norms. All the projects are discussed and executed applying international standards of efficiency and transparency.

Sofisa is expanding rapidly by integrating partnerships with active and passive investors.  Sofisa is also searching to form stategic alliances with international construction firms in order to serve as the local liaison company for projects to be executed locally.
